Photographic Trip – Umgazana Mangrove Estuary & Brazen Head

A photographic excursion by sea to Umgazana mangrove estuary system & Brazen Head is a half day trip. Departing quite early in the morning to beat any possible wind that may come up for the day.

Umngazana mangrove estuary system is the largest most southern mangrove estuary system on our coastline, housing red, white and black mangroves.

When ocean conditions permit, we enter the estuary system from the ocean and travel up into the estuary, which has many beautiful winding angles to it.

If visibility is good, it offers fabulous snorkelling prospects and is an easy snorkel.

Umngazana village itself is picturesque and a visit to the enormous cave, which is easily reached on foot, is a must do.

Brazen Head, slightly further south of Umngazana, is a great place to stop at as the topography and scenery in this area is nothing short of stunning and mesmerizing.

We offer light snacks and refreshments on this trip.
